Hi there,
Today, we’re kicking off our crucial year-end fundraising campaign. Everything we raise will go toward building a sustainable newsroom in 2023 and beyond. We want Tone Madison to be an enduring voice in Madison, bringing you arts, culture, and politics coverage other outlets won’t publish.
During November and December, NewsMatch and the Loud Hound Foundation will triple your donations up to $30,000. That means, with your help, Tone Madison has the opportunity to unlock up to $45,000 before the end of the year.
Help us unlock $45,000
Just a couple of months ago, over 100 of you helped us raise $10,676 so that we could make it through the end of this year. It meant a lot to see your support roll in over the week. Knowing you care about our work makes us even more excited to show you what we have in store.
At a time when Madison is going through a lot of change, we want Tone Madison to be something you can count on. You can rely on us to spotlight the artists, musicians, and ideas that make up the fabric of our city, even oddities like the now-vanished Halloween House. You can rely on us to challenge the status quo with inventive, adversarial journalism, including our coverage of abortion rights, housing, and labor.
You deserve a space that preserves the things that make Madison special — and we want Tone Madison to be that space. All our editors, writers, and illustrators love this city as much as you do.
So what do you say? Will you support Tone Madison so we can continue to tell Madison’s stories for years to come?
Yes, I’ll support Tone Madison!
If you need a little more convincing (or just want to hang out with our team), we’re hosting a kick-off party this Saturday, November 5 at Imaginary Factory at 7 p.m. No need to register — just show up for a good time.
And, on Wednesday nights all November, State Line Distillery will donate $1 per drink sold to help support our campaign. One one of those Wednesdays, November 16, we’ll be hosting a special edition of Tone Madison office hours at State Line, and The Roost food cart will be serving from 6 to 8 p.m.
Hope to see you there,
Scott
P.S. Do you have friends and colleagues who share your commitment to supporting journalism like ours? Please help us spread the word!
